Although container has been used to grow ornamental plants since the early days of human civilisation, the production of herbs in containers is relatively recent innovation.

Today, many types of containers are known, mostly tested for forestry purposes.

But the perfect container has yet to be developed for production of medicinal, aromatic or culinary plants. It is also known, that no single container will ever fill the needs of different plants do to cultural practices, plant features or outplanting site conditions. Which is the best container for a given purpose will depend on the specific objectives. Having in mind that the * best* container for a particular plant will depend on biological and economical factors as well as availability, for a study purposes in this case we used *UCA POT* for growing herbs from seed or rooting of cuttings.

Plant testers are: basil, sage, ginkgo and rosemary as it is shown on our poster.
