The species Dictamnus albus L. belongs to family Rutaceae that is famous because of its species (lemon, orange, etc.). Sharp odour is one of the most important characteristics of the family. Ecological variability of Dictamnus albus is assured by ecological indexes for humidity (1), pH of soil (4), amount of N in the soil (1), light (3) and temperature (4). Morphological researches (biomass detected by measuring of stem high, number and size of leaves) were done in natural conditions of Sićevačka gorge as well as chemical analyses. The chromatogram of essential oil showed the presence of larger amount of chemical compounds (nerolidol, germakron, citronelol, a-terpineol, etc).
