The use of medicinal plants in Republic of Macedonia dates from ancient times for what many written documents exist. A lot of medicinal herbs have been collected and used in healing of various diseases, discomforts removing, making organism stronger, disease protecting, in regular life as a refreshing means or as a spices. Nowadays medicinal herb usage is based on scientific basis, and more attention is paid on plant drugs, quality control and production of teas and phytopharmaceutical remedies. In this work some important aspects of Macedonian medical and aromatic plants will be discussed, i.e.:

• short report about the biodiversity of the flora of Republic of Macedonia, numbers and differences of the medicinal species, natural resources;
• medicinal herbs collecting and treatment of the collected material;
• plant drugs purchasing in scope of government and private sector;
• medicinal plant cultivation and drug production;
• plant drugs export and import;
• plants drugs processing and tea production;
• production of other accessory healing means (phytopharmaceutical preparations);
• essential oils production;
• plants drugs quality control, teas and accessory healing means, registration of these preparations in Macedonia, low regulations;
• accessory healing means import, registration;
• consumption of teas and accessory healing means in the Republic of Macedonia.
